Hard Digs

Arizona soil conditions can vary dramatically, and many areas of the Phoenix Valley contain caliche, abnormal soil, and rock that require a hydraulic hammer and additional excavation time. Imperial Excavating specializes in hard digs, rock hammering, and challenging pool excavations.
In known hard-dig areas, we perform a test hole within the planned pool area before excavation begins to evaluate the soil conditions and determine whether caliche, rock, or other abnormal material is present. If additional hard-dig work is required, we will discuss the conditions and additional cost with you before proceeding.
